Each month, Bridgeway students have the opportunity to take a virtual adventure, from hiking and animal spotting in Glacier National Park in Montana to touring the Eiffel Tower in Paris!

Every June, Bridgeway hosts a wonderful, in-person graduation ceremony in our home state of Pennsylvania to not only celebrate our amazing graduates but also meet other homeschooling families and create lifelong friendships and networks! We hope you’ll join us this June!

We pride ourselves on the connections made between our students. Friendships are formed from afar thanks to the activities and events cultivated by Bridgeway teachers and advisors.

Our Activities Calendar is always up to date on the Bridgeway Learning Center, with times, dates, and instructions on how to join each event.

Visit a new place with your peers, all from the comfort of your home. Every month we travel to a new location to learn, tour, and explore. Previously we’ve visited the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Homestead National Park in Nebraska, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, and the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Michigan.

Which graduation path will your student take? Bridgeway Academy offers a variety of tracks for your child–all of which lead to high school graduation and then…whatever they want to do!

Walking across the Graduation stage provides that real feeling of “I DID IT!” Our in-person Graduation is a day dedicated to our students and their families. Here you will meet friends from far away, shake hands with Bridgeway leaders, and hug the teachers and advisors who helped get you to this day. Give your time with Bridgeway Academy the grandest farewell. We encourage all seniors and their families to attend!

There are bound to be other homeschooling families right under your nose. Ask around your neighborhood or get involved with your local church, head to the skating rink during normal school hours, or research a local homeschool co-op.

Field trips are great for educational purposes. They can also help create lasting friendships through Field Trip Groups and places that offer homeschool activities. Museums, dance studios, and community centers often hold classes or during-the-day activities for homeschooled students. Make sure to ask their staff for information or resources they have on homeschool groups!

In the 21st century, so many relationships start virtually. Your relationship with Bridgeway Academy is probably one of them. Facebook groups and blogger communities are a great way to initially connect with like-minded homeschooling parents. Follow Homeschool Convention websites and social media pages for events in your area.

The best resource for creating your homeschool community is right at your fingertips. Bridgeway Academy offers a multitude of programs and resources for connecting with your peers. Our virtual events like coffee chats and field trips are meant to introduce, social media and our Families Homeschooling with Bridgeway community page help you to fully engage and connect, and Graduation and Homeschool Conventions are events to look forward to where you can meet up and hug your Bridgeway besties!

In our Parent Educator Webinar series, Bridgeway Academy is usually the co-host. We pick the month’s hottest topics and source professionals to present for the most credible advice and information. These webinars are open to all Parent Educators…the more, the merrier!

Safety First! Keeping Your Child Protected During Online Learning.
With kids immersed in a digital world every day, parents are rightfully concerned about their online safety–especially when homeschooled students are online for several hours every day. This webinar will show you how to keep your child safe online, including information about parental controls as well as safe education tools and websites, including Elephango.com.

Chat and “chill” with other homeschool parents…and even complain a little if you want to. Coffee chats are meant to be your time to be with the company that understands you most. An advisor will always host, giving you the opportunity to provide feedback, offer recommendations, and answer questions.

There’s a group for everything these days, but our favorite is our Families Homeschooling with Bridgeway Facebook group–a place specifically for Bridgeway parents to interact and feel a major sense of community.
