Wyoming Homeschool Laws

1. Homeschooling under the homeschool statute.
   • Wyoming law requires homeschooling parents to provide a sequentially progressive curriculum of fundamental instruction in reading, writing, mathematics, civics, history, literature, and science
2. Homeschooling as a church, parochial, or religious school.
   • You may enroll your child in a church school that allows you to teach your child at home. In order to qualify under this option, your homeschool must be under the auspices or control of a local church, denomination, or similar religious organization.

If you are homeschooling within the state of Wyoming, you will need to follow these steps:

• Submit a curriculum form. This form must be sent to your local board of trustees in your school district to show that a basic academic education is provided. The curriculum needed each year must include the following:
  • Instruction in Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Civics, History, Literature, and Science.
  • Because every school district is different and has different deadlines for the curriculum form, please contact your local school district for their deadline.
