Bridgeway Academy

Yes. We worked hard to obtain accreditation through Cognia which includes, NCA CASI, NWAC, SACS CASI, The National Association of Private Schools, the Pennsylvania Department of Education, and The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and we review our accreditation and requirements yearly. Students who graduate from Bridgeway Academy will have earned a fully-accredited high school diploma.

What sets Bridgeway Academy apart from other homeschooling academies is that we are extremely flexible. We allow you to work at your own pace and set your own schedule.

Yes! Thanks to our accreditation, students are able to enroll in traditional schools with a fully-accredited transcript. Additionally, Bridgeway Academy alumni have attended some of the most prestigious colleges and universities in the country.

Bridgeway Academy has students from all over the world contributing to our diverse student body! Furthermore, our online platform for middle school and high school allows students to take some courses in their native language!

Bridgeway Academy is very flexible and students can create their own schedule and work at their own pace. We will offer recommendations on pacing.

Due to our belief that every student is unique and learns at his/her own pace, we do not implement or assess students based on any Common Core standards. However, since we adopt programs that are also widely used by the public schools, the alignment to Common Core will exist. Companies are making the alignment to Common Core to appeal to the schools. In many cases, the content is not changed, but the alignment is available for ease in utilization by the schools required to meet the standards set by Common Core. In actuality, some of the publishers we are currently using were written before Common Core even existed, yet there is a notable alignment to the Common Core standards presented on the publisher’s website.

Transcripts can be ordered by visiting: and selecting “order transcript.” For questions about your transcript, please contact our Finance office at: 610.403.1162.

Bridgeway Support

The Records and Support package is a great option for families who have already selected their curriculum or are involved in homeschool co-op classes but are not quite ready to go it alone. A Records and Support package means award-winning support, expertise and guidance from your personal homeschool advisor as well as full accreditation and membership in the Bridgeway Academy community. Enjoy full support, professional records, accreditation, homeschool resources, and much more as an official Bridgeway Academy student.

Complete record-keeping and accreditation and unlimited support for up to 7 courses, including homeschool advice and expertise, report cards, transcripts, permanent records, honor roll, community events, and membership in the Bridgeway Academy homeschool family.

No. The Records and Support package is designed to allow parents who are confident in their curriculum choices to take advantage of complete support, records, and accreditation while using their own curriculum. If you need assistance with curriculum, please check out our Customized Package or enroll in a homeschool program – an all-inclusive program that includes a full year of curriculum along with unlimited support and full accreditation.

If you choose our records and support package and will be using your own curriculum, we require advisor approval of each course prior to beginning the courses. Along with a completed application of course approval, the following documentation is needed in order for curriculum to be approved: syllabus, hour time requirement per course, and suggested grade level aligned to the course. Upon completion of the course, completion evidence and progress status/competencies must be submitted. High School Courses must include the credit amount as well as specific criteria for progress monitoring. Your advisor will let you know if the course has been approved prior to the start of the course.

Bridgeway Total Care

Our all-inclusive homeschool programs include everything you need for the school year, personalized to your student, and customized to meet the needs of your family and schedule. This means you receive up to seven courses of curriculum: math, social studies, science, English language arts, and electives. The package also includes all instructor guides, full support, accreditation, and membership in the Bridgeway Academy community.

Bridgeway’s homeschool programs are all-inclusive and fully accredited. That means you receive our award-winning support, expertise, and guidance along with a full year of curriculum or online courses designed specifically for your student. Worried about records? We’ve got that. Not sure what courses makes sense? We’ve got that too. Have a student with specific learning needs? We have you covered. Trusted since 1989, all of us at Bridgeway Academy are passionate about homeschooling and stand ready to make your job easier.

Because there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all homeschool package, it does take time to get your student’s perfect homeschool package organized and on its way. We ask that you allow up to two weeks to receive your materials or online classes. However, you can speed up that getting-started process by responding quickly to your advisor’s requests, taking the assessments as soon as they are available, and approving or adjusting curriculum recommendations in a timely fashion.

If you receive a course that does not fit, simply contact your advisor within 14 days to request a curriculum change.

College/Dual Enroll

Before enrolling in the Associate Degree program, students will need to have completed two years of English, Biology, Chemistry, World Geography, Health, Personal Finance, Computer, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and two years of a foreign language. If these courses have not been taken, your student will have to complete them while in the program, in addition to their college courses.

We are able to work with you and your student to find the courses that your student needs and come up with a schedule that works for them. There are six start dates throughout the school year, though Ohio Christian University has specific times throughout the year when applications are due and courses are scheduled to begin.

We always encourage students to contact the college or university that they wish to attend to confirm that the institution will accept transfer credits from our college partners. Each school is different, and they have their own sets of requirements that they look for from a college transfer course. However, due to these courses being fully accredited, they are generally accepted by most institutions.

The courses are asynchronous in that your student can log in at their convenience. Assignments are handed out on Mondays and are due Sunday night. Upon starting the course, make sure your student reads the course syllabus to know when specific assignments are due and the professor’s expectations.
