Find the Answers You Need

Are you accredited?

Yes. Bridgeway Academy is designated as an accredited non-public, non-licensed school (grades pre-K through 12) in the state of Pennsylvania and is accredited by the National Association of Private Schools. Bridgeway Academy (K-12) is also accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). In addition, Bridgeway Academy has met the criteria for educational quality established by the Cognia Global Commission and is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, the Northwest Accreditation Commission, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. We review our accreditation and requirements yearly. Students who graduate from Bridgeway Academy will have earned a fully accredited high school diploma.

How flexible is your program?

What sets Bridgeway Academy apart from other homeschooling academies is that we are extremely flexible. We allow you to work at your own pace and set your own schedule.

Will my son or daughter be able to go to college? Or back to public school?

Yes! Thanks to our accreditation, students are able to enroll in traditional schools with a fully accredited transcript. Additionally, Bridgeway Academy alumni have attended some of the most prestigious colleges and universities in the country.

I am international; can I still take your programs?

Bridgeway Academy has students from all over the world contributing to our diverse student body! Furthermore, our online platform for middle school and high school allows students to take some courses in their native language!

Does Bridgeway Academy require students to work a certain number of hours per day, or does the student have to be online at a certain time each day?

Bridgeway Academy is very flexible, and students can create their own schedule and work at their own pace. We will offer recommendations on pacing.

Does Bridgeway align to Common Core?

Due to our belief that every student is unique and learns at his/her own pace, we do not implement or assess students based on any Common Core standards. However, after careful review, we adopt some programs that are also used by public schools. This means that alignment to Common Core will exist for those programs. We offer curriculum from many publishers. In fact, some we are currently using were written before Common Core existed, yet there is a notable alignment to the Common Core standards presented on the publisher’s website. This approach ensures that we are able to meet the diverse needs of our students.

How can I access my student’s transcripts from Bridgeway?

Transcripts can be ordered by visiting: and selecting “order transcript.”

What are your system requirements?

Before enrolling in the Associate’s Degree program, students will need to have completed two years of Honors English, Biology, Chemistry or Physics, World Geography, Health, Personal Finance, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and two years of a foreign language. If these courses have not been taken, your student will have to complete them while in the program, in addition to their college courses.

Will the college credits automatically transfer to any college my child chooses to attend?

We always encourage students to contact the college or university that they wish to attend to confirm that the institution will accept transfer credits from our college partners. Each school is different, and they have their own sets of requirements that they look for from a college transfer course. However, due to these courses being fully accredited, they are generally accepted by most institutions.

Does my student have to be signed in at a specific time each day? Are there deadlines on assignments?

The courses at Ohio Christian University are asynchronous, meaning that your student can log in at their convenience. Assignments are handed out on Mondays and are due Sunday night. At LeTourneau University and Southeastern University, the assignments are handed out on Wednesdays and are due Tuesday night.

Courses at Dallas International University are synchronous. Students must attend the live online lectures.

Upon starting the course, make sure your student reads the course syllabus to know when specific assignments are due as well as the professor’s expectations.
