Bridgeway Academy Student Named a Winner of YoungArts National Competition

For the second year in a row, student recognized for artistic achievement

CATASAUQUA, PA — April 5, 2019 — Bridgeway Academy is excited to share that student Irina Casasnovas has been named a 2019 winner of the National YoungArts Foundation national competition.

Irina Casasnovas received a Merit Award in the Classical Music category for violin. She was awarded the same distinction in 2018. Having been selected from among thousands of applicants, Casasnovas will gain access to financial, professional, and artistic development opportunities over the course of her career through the National YoungArts Foundation.

The National YoungArts Foundation is a comprehensive program for emerging artists in the United States. In addition to the opportunities gained through the national competition, students can also be nominated by YoungArts for the U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts program. The program is the highest honor a high school senior can receive.

“We congratulate Irina on her awards and artistic achievements,” says Jessica Parnell, president of Bridgeway Academy. “Our mission in homeschooling is to ensure students have the opportunity to discover and pursue their personal excellence, both inside and outside the homeschool classroom, and Irina’s accomplishments speak to that personal excellence pursuit.”
